Cemeteries have always been a fascinated subject for me to photograph, nearly every city in every state has one, even if the population is very low. It has always fascinated me how people chose to honor those who have died. I have been photographing cemeteries for over 10 years. Here are just a few headstones from cemeteries of California’s North State, and a few from years past. Also a reflection of my own mortality since my heart surgery in 2000.
